Memjet is the most important breakthrough in printing in 2007 according to PC Magazine

The PC Magazine announced the most important breakthroughs of the ending year of 2007. In printing the top was given to the Australian Silverbrook Research and their Memjet printing technology.

Memjet, announced early in the year, takes its name from MEMS (microelectromechanical system) technology in its nozzles. But the new print head is the major innovation. The printing is done across the entire width of the sheet at once. This is due to an array of individual microchip segments, with 6,400 nozzles in each chip.
